Project Title : Epidemiology and Control of Bacterial Canker in Sweet Cherry

Funding Request: No funding is requested. We are not continuing this project because of the current low level of the disease in most commercial orchards and lack of interest in the industry in funding a full program on this disease. However, as the acreage of new plantings increases, particularly those susceptible varieties, bacterial canker can be an important factor in the process of establishing profitable young orchards. We will key an eye on this disease.
